Born and raised in Munich, I still live near my hometown with my husband and dog.

I learned to sew at school and for a long time I sewed clothes for myself. I came to quilting many years ago through a feature film in which the Amish played an important role. If you study the Amish a little, you will see quilts. In my case it was a Lone Star. “Great! I want to be able to do that. Where can I learn it?” was the only thought.

The first tentative attempts followed and then courses, finally the training as a course leader at the Patchwork Gilde Deutschland e. V.. In the meantime, I give patchwork courses myself – also online – and am always happy to meet inquisitive participants. Through their questions I learn something new every time.

There is nothing better than discussing colours, patterns and techniques and ending up with a beautiful new quilt
